Or maybe you should simply stop cheating.
Why ? Because Valve never releases the exact cheat that caused any VAC ban. That would only help the makers of the cheats.
VAC bans are delayed, too. Just because a ban was applied about the same time someone uses a VPN, that just means that the delay just happened to end at the same time they used the VPN. It was just a coincidence.
VAC bans can be delayed for days, weeks, or maybe even months. What you just did was basically say :
"I just went to the bathroom, and when I came back, my account was VAC banned, so flushing the toilet caused my VAC ban."
