I have VAC on my main phone number and I want to use in another big account, this is safe ???

Hello, I'm still thinking about to put my old phone number on my current steam, only it has VAC (3-4 years ago I put a cheat.. and I got vac ) and now I have another account much bigger related to CS GO and I would like if I put a number with VAC on it, in time (months/years) will the VAC be transferred to my main account from now ? I want to specify that I heard that it is not advisable to you put a number on steam guard if you have VAC on it, and many use another number.At the same time, it is very difficult to have a second phone with a different number to accept trades or confirm what I buy.

I want some plausible answers if it's ok to put my old phone number and it won't affect my main account that I have now.

VAC bans are applied to all accounts sharing a phone number at the time of the infraction. For this (and many other) reasons we do not recommend sharing your phone number or using another user's phone number on your account. Accounts sharing the phone number that do not own the game the VAC ban is for will still receive a VAC ban and will not be able to purchase the game moving forward.

There are no restrictions placed on phone numbers that were on an account when the account was VAC banned; phone numbers can immediately be used on new accounts.

Note: This feature is not enabled for all games and is used at the discretion of the developer.

There was once long ago a cooldown on the number after it was associated with a banned account. Not anymore. The number can be used again immediately.

I can confirm, that if your previous account was VAC banned and it's associated with your main phone number. Then, re-use it for new Steam account. The VAC will not carry forward. As if, your new Steam account is fresh and new.

Reason being, I was VAC banned before. Then, I create new Steam account re-use my old phone number associated with my previous VAC Steam account.

It's been 3 years now. Nothing happens.

It doesn't matter. VAC bans that have already been applied cannot spread to other accounts sometime later.

Valve would not let you add the number to a new account if that alone would cause a VAC ban.

To further show this, the way it once worked was, there was a 3 month cooldown for any phone number that was previously on an account that was VAC banned.

You could not even add the number to any account during that 3 months.......the system simply would not allow you to add it.

Later, the policy was changed to the way others posted here now, as well as what is on the official support page.

You can safely use any phone number again that was previously on a VAC banned account, and that alone will not cause a new VAC ban.

UNLESS a new cheating infraction takes place, of course. Then, the new account would be VAC banned for phone number sharing, because it would be a totally NEW case of a cheating infraction and the number being associated with that NEW infraction.
