Dota 2 trade ban
I was banned last year because someone allegedly said/reported me that I scammed him.
Is there something I can do to revert or at least unban the "Trade ban/ Currently trade ban" situation or is it really a permanent ban?

PS: If nothing further occurs to restrict your access, you'll be able to use The Community Market on 1/23/2025, 9:13:16 AM.

Contact Steam support. Why is this in the VAC forum anyway?

Somewhere I have read that steam support can't help anything about bans, something like that. Steam Ban/Trade Ban = VAC Ban?

1. This is the VAC forum. This is not related to VAC.

2. You don't get a 10 year ban for "alleged" reports. Valve doesn't tradeban just based on reports just like they don't VAC ban based on reports.

3. You're wasting everyone's time by lying about it.

4. Just wait until the ban is up and you'll be able to trade again.

Current Trade or Community Ban

You also may be unable to trade or use the market if your account has been banned from trading by Steam Support. Depending on the severity of the violation, you may receive a temporary or permanent trade ban.

Support is the only recource for you if anything can be done at all about your trade ban. We cannot help with account issues here. Contact support, please. Thanks.

EDIT..Or better yet, probably...do this...

This account is currently banned. You have the options of taking care of the ban on this account (if that is even possible) or making another account and dealing with the restrictions until that new account can trade.

Having the option to wait that long is still an option even though it is not an optimal one. The fact that it may be that long does not eliminate it from the list of your options, as pointed out by the good BossGalaga. Thanks.

You can contact them for any type of ban.

However if you have already contacted them and/or you know fully well why you were banned it's pointless to waste their and your time.

There are certain additional support options a user will see only if they are tradebanned.

Also, there's always other or My Account-Different issue.

A restricted account is not a ban, though. At least, to me it isn't.

A restricted account is a different topic entirely.
