Vac banned for auto fishing in minecraft, while surfing in csgo
Was playing surf on community servers, and suddenly i was banned "While playing". Heard the alert for vac itself but didn't get kicked from the server, when i logged off and went to bed, i woke up next day and saw the vac... I don't play mm nor anything else besides surf and minecraft, the "auto fisher" for minecraft is a "Minecraft cheat" or sort off, it triggers that a mouse is clicking m2 for u, and something else.
This is the discription on the "auto fisher"
ATTENTION: Use at your own risk. This EXE program was compiled with Auto Hot Keys and Ahk2Exe.exe.

I belive i was vac banned due to this program runing at the same time.
I was vac 2 or 3 weeks ago, i messaged steam support but only got a robot answer, hope the community will help me out here. (im rank 62 in the world in surf on csgo)

Well, you have been warned...

VAC ban issued on your account is correct and permanent.

Hmm, sad that they have so strict policy but understandable.

Cheating in Minecraft will not result in a ban for CS:GO.

If you are banned in CS:GO, then it is because known cheats were detected while you were connected to a VAC secured server in CS:GO.

Yep must be something else. You won't get banned for AutoHotKey hooked to a different program.

Ignorance knows no limits. I have never seen anyone think that Minecraft cheats cause VAC bans, since ya know, Minecraft isn't even on Steam.

Worst story ever. Try another one.
Old excuse that has never worked, you had something else hooked into CS:GO.

all VAC bans come from the detection of a known cheat, whether it is used on the account itself or some sort of sharing has occurred (account, library or phone number).

Users are responsible for the security of the account and all activity on the account.

Your other account, also banned.
That is correct, that was a fair ban, i did cheat, tho the diffrence is here i probably didn't uninstall the cheat proper, but the fact is i did not "cheat" on this account.
(tho it would be weird if i somehow managed to not know that for 1 year)
Saying that all Vac bans comes from the detection of a known cheat, is true yet the auto fisher is a "Known cheat" because the coding behind the auto fisher is simple and not crypted = known cheat, unknown cheat is well crypted and takes a while to get exposed and known.

vac only cares that a cheat was detected while the account was connected to a vac server. if you only deleted the cheat, you failed to properly remove it. reformat the computer / reset the OS to factory new to be 100% sure the cheat is completely removed. uninstall/delete are not 100% effective and can leave enough traces behind for vac to detect and issue a ban.

You're responsible for whatever you have done on your account or what you've allowed to happen to it.

Sounds about right. Thanks for this info.

You don't install cheats into an "account". You install or use cheats on a computer. So, VAC only cares if the computer has cheats when you connect it to a VAC secure server, including any account used to share phone numbers with or Steam libraries with.

Any account used on the PC to do such connecting, will get the VAC ban. That's how it works.

Therefore, you have to reformat the PC to clean it of any cheats.
