Steam achievement manager VAC ban?

So i'm not capable of playing online my internet just wont allow it (in Sonics words "your too slow") but I love to get every achievement in games its fun to me and of course with games such as borderlands and COD I am unable to get some achievements the ones requiring co-op play and its bugging me being 2-5 achievements short on some games so I was curious if I am able to use SAM or would i get VAC banned and what the reprocussions of that are?

No.

VAC does not detect SAM as a cheat.

Alden Kroll has his own opinion on SAM here...

SAM does not cause VAC bans

you might earn a game ban depending on the game you cheat the achievements on, but there is only a few games that do that.

okay so using it to get the borderlands achievements i would be fine
