I was a fellow customer, proud owner of this account for about 11 years and always playing fair and square, and yet, on 15th of last month, the hammer felt on my head...

I felt betrayed, having such a stain on my pure and imaculate profile... I lost faith in Valve and Steam, considering going to guys like Epic for my future purchases and banning any future Valve games ( like Half Life 3 :p )... I didn't even want to use another account to play this game (as it became F2P)...


Up until today...


Today, we both admitted, we made a mistake, and we both felt sorry for that.

So, just like you forgave me, I forgive you.

What I find strange is, there was another users in the other thread that also claimed to have been using Cheat Engine the same way, and that user has never been VAC banned on that account.

Don't get me wrong, as I am glad you had the ban removed, and am not saying anything but it is just interesting.

Nicely put. And nicely posted here also, letting us know it was removed and there was a mistake. It's extremely rare, but it does happen. And as you proved, they do get removed automatically. Thanks.

One thing I might do, as I experienced the life of a banned, is to post in suggestions about the brainstorming I did on bans. I don't want it to stop existing, but some things really didn't felt right. And I never considered those things abnormal until I got trapped myself XD

That is the difference between posting in this forum and say, the CSGO forum for example. There, you are likely to only get attacked and labeled a "cheater" no matter what, if you have red text on your profile.

Here, we regulars at least know that the possibility of an incorrectly applied ban does exist, and we try to keep this in mind when people post about VAC bans here. So we regulars try not to just accuse anyone here, as we understand how VAC works and how bans can be applied on accounts.

I hope that was also evident in the other thread to you and others that this may apply to.

this just proofs vac works like intended if you ask me , since you got unbanned for a false ban , i have seen so many people say it was a mistake, yet their vac ban didnt get removed
