I think I was VAC'd because of a bot I use with a game called Tibia.

So I was VAC'd a while back. Before posting here I did extensive research to figure out what's up and why it happened. Come to find out it's for having "cheating" software on your computer. While playing Steam games I run two bots for a Tibia OT Server I play on. The main one I use is called WindBot https://tibiawindbot.com/index.html and the other is called MageBot http://www.tibiadb.com/ . I use both of these bots to farm charactes on an Open Server of Tibia that allows bots, it has no affiliation with Steam whatsoever I can see... BUT it is a software that injects into my Tibia client, because I have this running while I was playing games on Steam did this cause me to get VAC banned? It really sucks because I can't play one of the games I like to play. Is there anything I can do or am I just up the creek without a paddle?

If those are the only type of cheating software on your computer, then more or less that is why you where banned.

I run it on another monitor while I play games on steam so I can monitor it. I don't even know who to contact about this, everything I go to is a dead end.

Nope, VAC bans are final and can't be undone.

You read correct. If the system detected you, it will detect a false ban the same way it banned you to begin with. If you were wrongly banned, then it will indeed fix itself.

Well that's promissing. Hopefully it will just take time. Idk if I should keep playing other games like Rocket League with it running in the background or not because I don't want to lose more of my games too.

I wish I could just ask someone to compare what they were seeing to what Magebot and Windbot do and see that it matches up so they see I'm not trying to hack Steam or anything.

I'm really having a hard time understanding how valve can just VAC ban you and take all the money you spent on steam with certain games and just erase it. I've done even more research and I never was untrusted, didn't go through a review thing, I was just VAC'd randomly with no explanation.

They tell you beforehand in their Steam subscriber agreement (or something). That you didn't read it isn't their fault. And the explanation is: You did something forbidden. You don't have to do it a couple of times, just once.

There are ways for an account to earn a VAC ban where the rightful user of the account did not actually cheat, but the ban is still your responsibility.
