Other viable reasons I've seen is down to the 'everyone is cheating so I thought I would' logic and another one is that a lot of Chinese users aren't very good at the game so they have to cheat to stand a reasonable chance of making the top 20. It's would be very interesting to see how many purchases of this game are actually just cheaters rebuying it rather than the product being a groundbreaking title of monumental proportions attracting new players in droves daily.
It's plagued the Steam forums though the amount of spam and what doesn't help is that the in-game banned message apparently directs users to this forum plus the developers have actually abandoned their game hub forum and left quite a mess behind whilst they count the cash. I've been on a few Asian servers recently and I'd say that 20 out of 100 are cheating in many cases and you're also seeing blantant hackers complaining that they got killed by someone with better cheats.
What a mess this game has been for Steam even if it is a goldmine.
That will not work. Correct me if I am wrong but isn’t PUBG maintained in that market and even if not that spites players that are playing honest
Wonder what that will mean for existing chinese customers, maybe they will stick to version the game they already paid for? Maybe this will be easier for them without hassling for VPNs and that stuff?
About cheaters I think the thing is that this is really really popular in China and combine with china having lots of PC gamers means that the majority will be from china.
About 50% of people playing that game are from china.
And they have a system in place to address cheaters. It isn’t perfect but it is something
Who knows, maybe chinese players will be locked to their version of the game soon.
PUBG is so popular in China, almost like star wars in America now. And Chinese is 1.379 billion right now. If only 5% Chinese like playing video games, and 10% gamer are playing PUBG now, and 1% chinese player are hacker, you still got over 68950 cheaters.
Before H1Z1, PUBG, GTA5, steam is still not very popular for chinese gamer.
At that time, not many Chinese know what steam is and most Chinese still don't understand why people still need to pay for the game (although they still wish to pay the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ P2W free game e.g. crossfire ), and many of those player are absolutely hacker.
However cuz PUBG is very very popular in China, those cheater who only played ♥♥♥♥♥♥ P2W free games( or LOL )now turn to play PUBG and they found with out cheating they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. So what should they do? Absolutely become the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hakcer
