What is it with Chinese players and cheating in PUBG?
I mean, ban waves with loads of Russian posters or Turkish posters aren't surprising, but the sheer amount of Chinese posters with bans in PUBG is interesting.

Why do Chinese cheat in such huge numbers? Sure, the country is huge, but I've never seen a Russian ban wave that spammy and Russia is way bigger, than China. So why do Chinese players have to cheat that excessively?

I think the main reason is down to crates. You earn these in-game with the BP currency and the more you have to spend; the quicker you can earn the 6 allotted crates per week and offload the items. These in-game drops house some very expensive marketable items. You could essentially cheat, earn 6 cases worth of BP in a couple of hours, earn $1000+ worth of items in those crates, sell them through the Steam market or through 3rd party sites and if the account gets Game Banned; it's no biggie.

Other viable reasons I've seen is down to the 'everyone is cheating so I thought I would' logic and another one is that a lot of Chinese users aren't very good at the game so they have to cheat to stand a reasonable chance of making the top 20. It's would be very interesting to see how many purchases of this game are actually just cheaters rebuying it rather than the product being a groundbreaking title of monumental proportions attracting new players in droves daily.

It's plagued the Steam forums though the amount of spam and what doesn't help is that the in-game banned message apparently directs users to this forum plus the developers have actually abandoned their game hub forum and left quite a mess behind whilst they count the cash. I've been on a few Asian servers recently and I'd say that 20 out of 100 are cheating in many cases and you're also seeing blantant hackers complaining that they got killed by someone with better cheats.

What a mess this game has been for Steam even if it is a goldmine.

I heard that a lot of Asian countries can actually arrest and or punish you in some form of legal respect if caught cheating. Don't know how much truth there is behind that... but there must be some reason for the influx of Asian players on NA servers. I would hazard to say that as of late... it feels like at least 80%+. I rarely get killed by someone speaking english or having an non asian name.

I assume that Internet cafes are more popular there and public computer usage is begging for trouble

I'm tempted to start a Petition to get the game region locked.

That will not work. Correct me if I am wrong but isn’t PUBG maintained in that market and even if not that spites players that are playing honest

It's not like region locking is something new. And why should NA servers be allowed to be overrun by so many cheaters and making it hard for non cheating NA players to enjoy a game they paid for?

It's so bad, I constantly hear the same comments going on within the game about cheating Asians and telling them to go play on their own servers. Never have I witnessed such a thing in a game like this till now.

A lot of Chinese users either switch regions so they can lag around the map making them harder to hit. A few legit ones also do this because their own servers are absolutely riddled with hackers but we are also seeing cheaters switch regions so their hacks stand a good chance of winning against less users cheating.

It might slow down soon, tencent will be handling the game in China soon: http://www.pcgamer.com/tencent-wins-rights-to-officially-release-pubg-in-china-will-accord-with-socialist-core-values/
Wonder what that will mean for existing chinese customers, maybe they will stick to version the game they already paid for? Maybe this will be easier for them without hassling for VPNs and that stuff?

About cheaters I think the thing is that this is really really popular in China and combine with china having lots of PC gamers means that the majority will be from china.
About 50% of people playing that game are from china.

Regardless... I paid for a game and feel like many many others whom feel that 8 out of every 10 games is won by cheaters and more specificially... Asian area cheaters.

And they have a system in place to address cheaters. It isn’t perfect but it is something

The game should be region locked and I'm shocked the developers have not done this. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to play outside of their region.

I think regional invites should be fine for duos and squads but for solo it should be regional only. If 10 out of the 100 are playing outside of their region it can make a significant difference and is made worse if a few are cheating on top.

Well, Its not to hard to explain.
PUBG is so popular in China, almost like star wars in America now. And Chinese is 1.379 billion right now. If only 5% Chinese like playing video games, and 10% gamer are playing PUBG now, and 1% chinese player are hacker, you still got over 68950 cheaters.

Before H1Z1, PUBG, GTA5, steam is still not very popular for chinese gamer.

At that time, not many Chinese know what steam is and most Chinese still don't understand why people still need to pay for the game (although they still wish to pay the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ P2W free game e.g. crossfire ), and many of those player are absolutely hacker.

However cuz PUBG is very very popular in China, those cheater who only played ♥♥♥♥♥♥ P2W free games( or LOL )now turn to play PUBG and they found with out cheating they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. So what should they do? Absolutely become the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hakcer
