Can my acct get banned because I look like the real thing?

At the time of this posting, I'm trying to make my acct. look like stewie2k, a professional CS:GO player, I do have the link to his competitive user registration in my bio along with some of the same items he owns. I'm not using this to try and pull scams or anything, I just think it's fun to join a game and having some people double take to check and see if its the real player. If they look close enough, they can tell that I am not if they compare my acct. to the real acct you can tell that mine doesn't have thousands of comments on it, nor does it have the full $20,000 inv that the real one does. I don't want to get my acct banned because of impersonating another user.

1. Your profile is private, so they can't view it anyway.

2. No VAC or game bans, but a community ban (usually temporary) is possible.

The account could get shot down by valve for being a imposter but its unlikely. Have fun acting out you little fantasy of being someone famous.

Its not really about acting like him, I just think its kinda cool if I thought he were in my game for 2 seconds, plus its kinda a meme, im a big fan of stew if ya can't tell. Im trying to get to his skill level maybe some day.

Don't do it then. Impersonation is already a punishable offence where you can lose your ability to have a profile username and picture.

Many players pretend others for scamming/trolling purposes and it's not a smart or mature thing to do especially when it's a recognised reportable violation.

I wasn't referring to what im doing as, "kinda cool", I'm talking about the other players that would see my profile. They might have a split second where they believed that they were in a match with one of their favorite players. I'm not here to argue morality in this whole thing. You're taking it way too far if your calling it illegal, its steam, a gaming platform, if youve ever played multiplayer in your life you know how seriously people take accts. Gaming isn't reality, its a fictional space where people are able to play games and enjoy themselves; whether that be through competitive play to show off their skills, or to just scream memes into mics, im not one to judge.

Then when they realise you're not who you describe by verifying your Steam ID or profile URL; they'll report you for impersonation or as a possible scammer and then you'll be liable for a ban.

in the bio i put that im not the real stew, also they can easily see im not him due to lack of comments, I have a dif steam level, a different inv.

This is already very horrible. I have been impersonated once and no one (NO one) liked it. Plus, you may stain the original user's reputation depending on your actions.

An account being terminated or restricted by Valve due to impersonation has nothing to do with VAC, or a VAC ban for that matter. That is not how VAC works. Maybe you thought the word "ban" made it relevant to post here in this forum.

Please read up on how VAC and VAC bans work..........
