Black Ops 2 Can't Connect to Friends!!!

Hey Steam members!

Since Black Ops 2 is out for pc, me and my friends have been playing it for a couple and days and one dissapointing thing that we have found, is that we can't connect to each other and go in parties in game. If we connect to each other it says: Unable to join game session. We CAN however join each other in game lobbies where there is a free spot left, but that's because we aren't the host then... I know we can open NAT because it's on moderate, but I think this won't work since not everyone has port forwarded his router. I hope you guys can help!!! Zombies and Multiplayer don't work.

Actually managed to open my nat! Open port 88 and 3074!

It did this for me when I tried to play Borderlands 2 with friends. We all got Hamachi and that seemed to fix the problem but it doesn't seem to help at all with BLOPs2. I really like steam and prefer playing on a computer over a console any day, but this seems to be a recurring problem I see with steam and it is really getting aggravating. I got this game to play with friends, not by myself. Now I wish I got it on PS3. Please help!

Just a heads up, reading several forum posts and this is happening with consoles as well. I have the same issue and have been trying to fix it but have not tried opening the ports yet. I believe it has something to do with your NAT and theirs as well as firewalls etc.

open your ports, make sure party privacy is open....
also check ur firewall for the correct exceptions and permissions.

ohhh,
sometimes with hamachi, boot the game with a shortcut with the target as-- gamedirectory:friend's hamachi ip
e.g
C:\whatever\whatever\blah:FRIENDSHAMACHIIPADRESS
helped me with a few games.

the game is bad ported thats why its doing that or maybe your friends have open net the party leader must have moderate net to beable to host the game cus its not only pc that has this prob

why cant it be simple..all you want to do is join a friend...in Battlefield 2 & 3 u can just join without complicated port openings...sort it out !!!!
