Steam Group Invite Limit?
I am just curious, does steam really have an 250 invites per hour, per community group? Cuz I just seen this group... http://steamcommunity.com/groups/familysharing

It was started like 9 days ago, and already has over 200k members. Although I think it is ran by Valve employees.. still... Some people say there is no limit, some say they dont know, some say its 250 per hour per group. I contacted valve twice about this, and they said that they do not disclose that information.

I am curious.

You're confusing invites with users who have joined of their own free will. There is a limit on how many invites you can send out (I think), there is no limit on how many people can join your group.

Valve did not invite any one to their group, they joined on their own.

Yes, I am asking about invites sent out to people.
and over 200k members in 1 week? I doubt it. They did something. Did they advertise it on their site?

Pretty much, yeah: http://store.steampowered.com/sharing/

People are joining this group because invites to the Steam Family Sharing beta are going to be sent to members of that group.

Ahh gotcha. Damn Valve.. BRING THE COMMUNITIES SOME PUBLICITY! They ruined the community aspect from CS:S to CS:GO. All CS:GO is now is playing on the Valve public servers, or matchmaking. Although competitive matchmaking is fun.. the mods/community/fun aspect of CS:S is what made it such a success.
