PATH OF EXILE NOT ON STEAM?
So I like Path of Exile, and I can't even find it on Greenlight. It's a F2P Diablo clone, that plays the way Diablo 3 should have with darker, more complex graphics and textures, and a more gothic atmosphere. Thoughts?

You should post it on their forums. It's developers who have to request a deal with Valve, not the other way around.

If Diablo 3 had made their game like Path of Exile I'd be sleeping at the second act. The game is such a massive bore for me. This comes from someone who loved Diablo 2.

I'm not quite sure I understand the meaning of your post. Blizzard makes Diablo 3. I've already maxed out 5 characters in Diablo 3, and I agree that the game is good. What I'm wondering is how you can find Path of Exile to be boring, when the gameplay is nearly identical to that of Diablo 2 and 3?

alot of free to play game developers don't want their games on steam due to the fact that if they have ingame purchases such as cosmetics that you use real world money to buy, if they put their game on steam they do not make as much money from those ingame purchases as they normally would because steam takes a sertain percentage of the profits. although if they put the game on steam then more people would know about the game soooo its a tricky choice for the developers to make

Gameplay doesn't keep one interested. Story, progression and overall intrest are key parts to it too. The biggest part is opinion based.

Path of Exile's developers need to want to put it on Steam. If they don't, then they don't. Steam doesn't decide that. For all we know, the developers were asked and turned it down (for the moment) or Steam is waiting for them to ask. We have no way of knowing. Either way, it is up to the devloper and they are the ones you should be asking.

I wanted to see how many other people out here support this idea.

Bear in mind that PoE is still in beta and most of the story etc. is not implemented yet.

I'm not judging the game, just giving a reason as to why some may find it boaring.

It being in beta could also be why it is not on Steam. Easier for them to controll the server load.

Indeed PoE should be added to steam ASAP !

The developers had already talked about Steam integration coming with official release and it's been confirmed today. Later this month, PoE 1.0.0 will be released on Steam. There's a video on Gamespot (http://au.gamespot.com/shows/now-playing/?event=path-of-exile-2-20131004) where Chris is talking about 1.0.0 and he mentions it about 17 minutes in.

To piggy-back on what you said, maybe it's so boaring because they loaded it with pork. I hate it when games get greedy and hog other ideas from other companies. Just a thought.

There will be some changes to PvP, if you haven't watched the video. It's right after he talks about Steam, I think, so you can check from the 17m mark, if you just want to know about that.
