Any games like Dynasty/Samurai Warriors series

Hey

Does any1 know of any good games like the Dynasty/Samurai Warrior series, looking for something regarding that era if possible(Three Kingsdoms, or Warring States Period) with the main part being an single-player campaign oriented hack N slash.

Ive been looking around an havent been able to find much of the like thats not either Star Wars/Star Trek/DMC series, and while they are cool games, its a much the history and involvement u get with the more in-depth character build in the beforementioned games.

Total War Shogun 2 is a strategy game based on that era.

Well, a game that tried to do something like it is Wars and Warriors; Joan of arc.
A western setting for a change.

:/ but I wouldn't really recommend it. It just wasn't as cool as samurai warriors.
But at least they tried.

Very reminicent of a Warriors game. Sounds like a basketball is bouncing whenever they attack and land a blow.

not of that era but Devil may cry and Darksiders are good hack n slash games, well i was also in search of the games which you are, thats why i found this thread.

Yeah, played the DMC games for some time, but seems like Dynasty/warriors series are an "niche" product cause cant find much else like them atm. but can always hope some will pop up in time
