It can be found in the Trading Card's Group.
Booster pack contain 3 cards for a sepcific game. They appear randomly to a qualified account for a random game that also qualifies.
A qualifying account is one that has logged in at least one time for the week.
A qualifying game is a non-free-to-play game that has exhausted all of it's card drops.
Yeah but i don't even know what trading cards are so it's kind of hard to know about a trading card group or even have a reason to join it. But i will check it out, thanks.
Just don't understand why they do not make more of an effort to inform people about this stuff...
Apart from the many pop ups from within Steam when it went into Beta and went into Live and the links on your profile that go to the 'what are badges/cards' page. :P
But as to the OP, how could a booster pack be sold for $5 when individual cards are being sold for as little as 8cents? Chances are people that bought them for the higher price either bought them for the "ooo i must have every item possible" and never unpacked them OR people that doesn't understand the price difference.
Correct. I sold one after unpacking the cards first and received less the half the money I got for selling a booster pack unopened. People are trying for another chance at a foil card
...I don't recall ever receiving a pop-up about it. And i typically pay close attention to the pop-ups because i'm always interested in what new games come to steam (Like FF7 the other day, which i did buy).
