how long ago was the old green steam

The current Steam look came to light during early 2010. I don't have an exact date, but a thread listing a ton of custom skins for the 2010 UI was created on the 25th February 2010; http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1161035

I remember poopoo-ing HL2 when it first released because it required this newfangled crap called "Steam." Of course that was back when I was still on dial-up and couldn't bear the download.

Obligatory comment in discussion.. also, very glad to have the new layout, although it would be nice to have some way of setting universal settings for full-screen vs. windowed mode from within the client.
