Seriously, dabble. Play a couple at a time. One of them will hook you until you finish it. Then move to the next one.
I usually buy games during large sale and I buy in bulk.
My friends recommended the games I should finish, but it didn't help at all.
I do however have a few tips that might help:
- Don't download all games that you purchase, it will limit the amount of available games you can play, thus forcing you to choose from a few and not a lot.
- Read the ratings and reviews. Sometimes I find reviews that just makes me want to play a certain game even more.
- Remember that you do not have an obligation to play these games. Playing video games is all about fun. So our, "problem" really isn't a problem because forcing yourself to complete a game takes out all the fun.
Not even half of my games are installed and I have only finished maybe 2 or 3. Every day I have a sudden urge to play a specific game and I do so. I'll finish my games eventually, but I want the "It's already over?" feeling, rather than the, "FINALLY! I'm so relieved" feeling.
My backlog is about 300 games about 250 steam-games or more), yet i still can't refuse a good deal (sometimes not even bad deals) when i see one.
But, to the recommendations:
The Walking Dead
I haven't this one either :D, got 3 episodes to go, but i can say it's most certainly Game of the Year-caliber. The two episodes i've completed have been most enjoyable adventuring since Grim Fandango.
Or/And
Buggy, laggy, plaggy, Planetside 2!
I don't usually enjoy multiplayer-shooters at all, but this one is just gold, gold, golden goa'uld...
This is just my opinion though,
Dabbling hasn't really been working, so bring on the recommendations lol. I'm having fun playing all (most) of my games that are currently installed, so it's not a chore to do so and it's not a lack of interest... I just play one after work, then the next day comes and I'm suddenly in the mood to try a different one. Can't help myself.
I kind of did the same thing on the PS3 when I first got one, jumped around games too much and didn't accomplish much of anything in any of them. Then I said "that's it, I'm going to finish Uncharted" and just played it exclusively for a little bit, eventually beat it a few times, got all the trophies, etc. So yeah, kind of the same deal except I'm asking for help/opinions deciding which to focus on! :-]
Thanks those who have suggested games!
Aswell as:
Sleeping Dogs
Portal 2
Mass Effect
Mass Effect 2
L.A. Noire
:D While pooping of course.
I am now also forcing myself to clear games one at a time (currently playing Dark Souls and loving this game like I have loved no other game) - Currently I have about 30 full games installed on my two drives attached to my laptop. Slowly and systematically I will clear all of them before I am to download a single new game :)
http://steamcommunity.com/id/psychomantis - he won every game on Steam in last years winter sale.
Haha, that totally reminds me of the Battlefield Friends season 1 finale part about having a ♥♥♥♥ bucket.
Colonel 100: "You got a ♥♥♥♥ bucket?"
Recon: "I’m sorry?"
Colonel 100: "Do you have a ♥♥♥♥ bucket?"
Medic: "I…I don’t."
Recon: "I’m not sure I follow…"
Colonel 100: "You go to the bathroom, your not playing Battlefield. If you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥’ in a bucket, your playing Battlefield."
Mhm... don't worry. I'm plenty happy. Thanks.
