Why are steam foils so expensive and valuable?
I dont understand,I see them going for over 15$ on the steam community market.

Generally, they have a very low drop rate compared to normal cards. That's why only a few people have them, and they sell them for a lot.

plus you need to have a steam level of atleast 10 to obtain them, even then you need to complete the regular set

That's quite a bit of prerequisites just to get the foils.

From the official Steam Cards FAQ...

"...once you reach Steam Level 10, there is a small chance whenever you get a Trading Card from playing a game that it will have a special foil border. You'll need to collect a set of foil cards in order to craft them into a foil badge. There is no extra benefit to having foil cards or foil badges aside from their rarity."
so the point is

That's partially wrong, you don't need to complete the set in order to get a foil, I have 2 foils for incomplete sets, or do you mean you have to have no card drops remaining? that might possibly be true and would explain why I only have 2 foils versus a couple of hundred normal cards.

You don't seem to know how Value works. I can sell a cad fo $100 if I want. but that doesn't mean someone will buy it.

Lol. If people are buying these cards for $16 then obviously some people believe it's worth $16 . People with no concept of money
