Assassin's Creed 4 - buying PC version from a store vice online download thru Steam, will it still load on Steam?
Pre-ordered the collector's edition from a store to get the physical items that came with it (not an option thru Steam)---will I still be able to load it up like my other AC games on Steam?

I don't really know... depends how Ubisoft set it...

It will not be tied to your Steam account, but you should be able to launch it as a non-Steam game.

Since its a Ubisoft game, it will be bound to Uplay. You will not be able to add it to steam.
