Or what exactly do think a "next gen" game would be?
Hm yeah it does look like a next-gen indeed.
In my opinion a next gen type of game is Everquest Next for example :)

These are both 100% on the engine in real time, Arkham Origins is not even in the same galaxy as this.
This is where consoles shine my friend. People purchase better videocards for their PC's to be able to handle the lagg this next gen engine will bring. With Consoles you don't have to. Plus it's always nice to have a buddy playing with you next to you drinkin some beer having fun, while you sit all alone in the dark staring infrot of a wide screen less than 1 meter. I'd say playing games on Consoles is a bit more "fun" and "free"
Look, Canti, I don't think anybody will give a crap about the old games of ps3&xbox360 when watch dogs and all the other exclusives gets released with and after the release of ps4/xboxone... :).
Much as I love all systems, you overlook one MAJOR point.
Consoles, due to their inability to upgrade are only current at one point in time - their release (and even then it's not always the case - consoles traditionally have been behind tech). So, as soon as the tech has moved on a little it's behind once again ... until the next consoles comes out.
Oh I certainly will, and I know there are plenty who do - there simply wouldn't be all the discussion about backwards compatibility otherwise.
However, bacwards compatibility is NEVER an issue for me - I simply keep all my platforms and games. If they need repairing at any point, I repair them. It's worked fine thus far for over 35 years.
Personally, though, I couldn't care less about WatchDogs as almost nothing is known about the game - in-game footage and blurb means next to nothing. Once it comes out, if it's good, then that'll be one to add to my list to substantiate buying the PS4/Xbone at some point ( I normally wait until there's an arbitrary amount of excluseive games I want before getting one). Anyway, traditionally launch games are usually pretty crap.
That's fine, but not an option for some people, especially those who have bought their games digitally and rely on them keeping the network services running.
Oh, I agree - network service and their longeivity certainly concerns me - I tend to view digital downloads as acceptable losses (which is a major reason why I only buy them if they're cheap and will always go for physical copy if available).
I certainly understand why people want it, and that is a good reason. All I'm saying is it's not the only reason - some people say daft things like "I can only have one console".
