In terms of offical word from Valve, there's rarely any notice -- the sales just kind of pop up. Even if there is word, it's only a couple of days or so.

Slender: The Arrival is getting its Steam release on Tuesday. Would be a perfect time to start it. Thats the 29th as well. Same as last years.

EDIT: My mistake, Slender is released on Monday, the 28th.
