sims3 serial code problem
A couple hours ago my friend purchased the base game of The Sims 3 on Steam to gift me. When I went to register the game on The Sims 3 website, the website stopped responding. when I refreshed the page, it said that the code I tried is invalid. my steam account is connected to my EA account and the game appears in both libraries. However I am unable to download anything from the website since the base game is not marked as registered on the site.

How can I get the game to be registered on the website? Any help is appreciated.

You want it from Steam, you buy it from Steam. When you buy it on their site, that game is tight there.

A: Sims 3 is a EA game and gets automatically registered on Steam and on the EA APP when you buy it. So you get it automatically on both platforms.

B: The Sims 3 website lets you register any key of the game to have access to community content and mods. Does not matter if its a Steam or Origin key or another platform like EPIC.

A: Only if you buy it on Steam. If you buy it on the EA store, you do not get a Steam copy of the game.

Yeah, i have worded it a bit vague. My point was you get it on the EA APP too when you buy it on another store like STEAM or EPIC and the key works with the Sims 3 community page regardless.

If you got game on Steam, you download it via Steam app, or via EA app they do not provide game download from websites.

He does not want to download it from any website. He wants to register the game key on the official Sims 3 community page so he can download user created content.

If this is to download tools such as content create, then OP has to contact whom in charged of it, as only they can fix it, which would be EA support I assume.
