Looking for a realistic racing game set in cities (Preferably real)
Hi I'm transitioning to PC from the consoles and I am looking for a realistic racing game like forza but set in cities. It would be a plus if these cities were taken from the real world but it is not essential. I'm not interested in the need for speed games or anything like that, I'm more interested in simulation physics. Thanks for any suggestions you could provide.

BeamNG is basically a simulation for the physics in destroying cars and all of that. It's in alpha, though, so we'll have to wait for the release. You can buy and play it now. It's buggy, there's no goal, but it's still really fun.

Hmmm, I havent really tried it out too much, but Burnout Paradise seems like a pretty good one. As the previous commenter said though, BeamNG is an AMAZINGLY good physics simulator, and you'll have tons of fun smashing up your cars on courses in slow motion, but i'm not sure if theres a real "racing" aspect to it, but it's in alpha, so I dont know where its headed. Hope this helps!

Would Grid 2 be of interest?

I just checked out that game, it looks great, but what about tracks set in real cities? Like in project gotham 2 I believe they had a track set in Sydney that was modelled off real streets and bulidings. That is what I'm looking for.

I have grid 2 and it was good but the phyisics were a bit unrealistic. A game with the setting of grid 2 or project gotham and the phyisics of forza would be great.

Realistic physics: Burnout Paradise and Grid 2 ... yeah, seems about right :D

Take a look at rFactor, brilliant physics and loads of custom tracks, including some city tracks.

rFactor... Interesting. How does it work? There seems like an infinite amount of tracks.
