Convincing my Parents

Ok, so I heard about half life, and I am dying to get it. I am young and my mom is debating whether I should get the game or not. How can I convince her that it's okay?

Games doesn't make kids violent, violent parents makes kid violent. Tell her that.

Also there are millions of kids who play games above their age requirement that are just fine.

Most of us older guys here played games way above our age level and we got out just fine.

Im not allowed to say my real age online, so let's just say im younger than 13. Im not trying to manipulate my parents, it's just I've done research and I think that this game is fine. Also, it looks like an awesome game. I don't think that it will make me more aggresive or less responsive to innapropriate actions, it's just I don't know how to tell my parents that. Is there any type of setting in the game that might turn off the blood and gore? That is what my parents are most concerned about. If there is please tell me. But anyway, I don't think this game will affect me. It's just my parents really don't listen. So I need to find ways to tell them that this game is ok. Please give me some more feedback soon.

I chake right now on Half Life 2 and don't seem to find sittings to take off the blood, only thing is i don't think there is much gore in it from the first place.. i mean the worst things you have is zombies... if you talking abut Half Life 1 the 3D is the old one.... i don't see that really effecting any one as its really low for today standers... o and by the way not saying your age online is a good idea... give something abut is way more then enugth in these case you are not even need to be on Steam XD as you need to be older then 13 for that.. if i remember right
