Playing with chinese friends?
Hey all,
I just saw dont starve together and i thought its a nice game to keep in touch with some of my chinese friends (was there on an exchange year) however ... its the internet and its china so im not certain they got normal access to steam and i just want to go sure its going to work before making a purchase.

Im posting this in the general forum because i feel it wouldnt be specific to dont starve together.

Hope someone knows if its possible by default and if its not if theres a workaround :o)

A first thanks in advance :P

Will they not know if something like that will be blocked for them or not?

Steam isnt all that popular in china, besides just that you can access a website in or service in china doesnt mean its the same service/website :D i made my experiences in that regard >.>

For google for example youll end up at the google website but the search algorythms are completely diffrent (for obvious reasons) however many other games / services too got a completely remote server from the rest of the world in china (eve-online comes as an example which got 2 servers 1 being the rest of the world the other ...china).

Ive had the issue too with other services where it appeared to be the real deal at first but then turned out not to be.

Ok yet, do you not think that someone there is more likely to know :D:
And as i assume you know chinese, maybe try to post on a chinese group in chinese and ask them abut it

There may be someone here that will know, but over all i think it may be unlikely, as i guess many users never had to really look that up, not in english any how, and i am unaware of an active chinese user on the forums...

I know the limit, but over all i think its likely the once that are effected by it, are the most likely to know what is and what is not on the matter

@Natsumi: 我想知道,如果中国人有相同的访问使用STEAM, 这样我跟他们可以玩. 对不起我中文也不是好.
