PLAY FOR FREE UNTIL SPECIFIC DAY
So, today I see on my steam that Civiliztion V is play for free until thursday. Is this mean after thursday I should buy the game althought I already downloaded it today?

Downloading dose not make you allow to play the game, you have to "own" the game, or be on a free week end for that

Correct.
It's a free trial for a specific amount of days. after that, you need to buy it if you want to play it further.
