Is my steam account worth more.
As the title says, i have a question about steam account's worth

Lets say i just created my steam account and i bought a game for 5$, the account is worth 5$ now but what if i have over 2000 hours played on that game, does the price of my account change?

Only in the eyes of the people who care about such. In the eyes of the people who don't it has zero effect. I, for one, couldn't give ♥♥♥♥ about how much time someone's spent in a game. Besides, who cares about your account's imaginary worth? You're not allowed to sell it anyways.

If you're talking about whether it matters to a site that estimates how much your Steam library is worth, then I've never seen a site that accounts for playtime.

Some other sites try to calculate your hours played per dollars spent (they tend to assume full price, which is of course a mistake).

It all depends on how you want to measure "worth".

Of course, it's a little moot since you're not allowed to sell your account anyway.\

If you need to get on SteamGifts, then the answer is no, it's not worth more for the playtime.

The account is worth $0. This isnt the same thing as how much have i spent on steam.

Games never appreciate in value. The account is worth only what someone is willing to pay for it based solely on games. If you also have marketable commodities, it could be argued that it's worth more. But, since you can not sell those items for real money (wallet funds are not liquid and can not be withdrawn), they have no real world value. At best, your account is "worth" the current value of the games you own and the immediate sellable value of any additional items sellable on Steam. But, since anyone can go in and invest that sum in a new account, they're no going to pay you for that full value. While I have seen Steam accounts for sale on some sites, I do not even think it's "legal" in terms of the TOS (which the user taking over the account will never have agreed to anyway, and can arguably not be held liable to observe, hence sale of an account being iffy, IMO). Anyway, you're not going to get full value of everything in your account, maybe half if you're lucky.

As others have stated there is no 'price' of your account. Outside that if you wanted to know the approximate value, steamdb.info has a calculator that will give you such. However, it does two things, it gives you the value based on current prices and it gives you a second value based on lowest price point of the games to date. So your $5 game would be just that $5, but if it went on sale for $2 next week, the second value would be listed as such. It's actually quite interesting to see the full cost of your library compared to the lowest price point cost though. It can be quite a difference, in my case the lowest price point is near 75% lower. ^_^ Although this is only 'accurate' if you bought your games from steam.
