An unexpected error has occurred. Your purchase has not been completed.
A few weeks ago I had no problem buying games and re-filling my steam wallet. Since yesterday a message kept popping up (An unexpected error has occurred. Your purchase has not been completed.) denying my purchase for everything. I have restarted my pc,signed in-out of steam, purchasing through the browser but nothing worked. So i have sent in a steam support ticket today. I seem to have no problems using my credit card elswhere. I am a 100% sure that this is steams problem. If I am wrong please tell me what to do.

give it some time, and see if it fix it self, also try the browser as well as the client to buy

If all that fails try for a few days, while you wait for support to reply... if it dose not fix it self they likely can

Deleting the folders in the steam directory is jaw dropping. I have seen this posted around the forums and makes no sense when you cant add funds to steam wallet using a web browser at store.steampowered.com and get the same error when using the steam program. This reply from support is a I dont know answer. I got this error twice in the last 30 days now and both times fixed itself after five days and the second four days while the support ticket sat there rotting. Well under the 24 hour threshold of $2,000 in the EULA and a credit card that expires in 2019 and has been on this account for the last year.

It may be that Valve did something to fix the account, and need the refreshing Steam client for something else (like cleaning Steam Guard or something)

I agree at first sight i was speechless, I thought to myself what does deleting the folders gotta do with anything with my credit card?...... HOPEFULLY this will be resolved soon. I heard this was a bug in STEAMS system and it has been occuring in these past few years. How can one of the BIGGEST companies in the WORLD such as steam have this terrible error in there system. This error is really bad for business cause I believe this error has happened to every single steam user, this means they are also losing out on alot of money. Steam seriously needs to fix this, this error has been living through out the steam system for 3-4 years I believe.

If they really are doing that I believe us steam users have the right to know. If steam just tells us what they are doing and what is happening, us steam users will feel less stressed and frustated.

Do agree, a more informative error will be nice, but seeing that they are the once that lose from it
And they did not fix it yet, i do assume its something that may be really messy to fix
