Returning old games for refund
Just wondering is it possible to return games that have never been played even if owned for years. I just can't bring myself having to setup a new account for each game publisher like for FarCry.

The whole point of Steam for me was to have one sign in fits all, now every publisher wants email details and passwords. Sure i could setup a games only email but i just feel this promotes what i am against.

I get it that it may help with game cheats and cross platform progress etc so not totally against it but i never will play online multiplayer and only into single player story mode game-play.

I read you can link your Steam account to such publishers but i think this still requires an account to be made with each publisher.

Why yes, see, the money you payed, no one ever expects to actually be able to use that as money, it is just held as a deposit until you decide, years later, that you'd rather have it back.

Just like the money you earn in your job, you can never use that. Right? You just put that in an account and hold it until the day comes that your customer goes: "remember the work you did couple years back? Want me money back plox".

And that is why that is totally going to work. Because of course it will.

Not possible. Your money is already consumed by developers. You think you can be Ant-Man and force your consumed money out of their bodies?
The reason i asked is i recall reading that there is a 2 hour playing limit in regards to refunds so i thought it was worth seeking clarification, i wasn't really expecting to be able to do so.

I rarely play games but since this Christmas New Years i had a little time and came across a game i didn't play.

Sure, but that is a self-made "point of Steam". Not something others have to adhere to.

Regarding your question, no, you can't get a refund for them.

It's 2 weeks of ownership and max 2 hours playtime. Both, not either.

You can return games within 14 days of purchase provided they have less then 2 hours play time

Not sure what is your point, i got a refund for that shortly after purchase. I rarely play games so it is not drilled into me as a constant reminder accounts are required.

These days i'm more aware of where to check before purchase.

You could have just reread it instead of asking stupid questions.

I think it is obvious i was merely stating my viewpoint as to how i viewed Steam and not how it is.

Merely illustrating the perspective of a new persons view of starting up a Steam account from back in the days of owning a PS3 and never once having to create an account to play games.

It was only something i recall reading outside of steam, i looked and searched within Steam through these community forums to see if the question was already addressed to no avail prior to posting.

https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/784C-923B-A4A1-C825#:~:text=Steam%20Support%20%3A%3A%20How%20To%20Request%20A%20Refund&text=Valve%20will%2C%20upon%20request%20via,for%20less%20than%202%20hours.

I typed "Steam refund policy" into Google and this was the first link. I get it though, Google is really difficult.
