Once again, people trying to get fake attention and cant even get the facys right.
Doesn't matter. A DDOS is done from a system seperate from Steam. Valve has no control over it and a threat doesn't mean much. You can check with your local authorities, but something like this, against one person, they probebly won't do anything.
You can try unplugging your modem for 5 minutes and seeing if you get a new IP address. That will stop the DDOS as those are directed at specific IP addresses.
No. Unless you have have some kind of remote desktop software running, then they can't access you computer.
If you don't know what it is, chances are you don't have one installed or setup. Nothing to worry about there.
Any time you access a multiplayer game or something that connects you with other people, you give them your IP address. Otherwise it is all one way communication.
That is why I suggested unpluging your modem. Most ISPs don't give static IP addresses, so turning it off for a bit (5-15 minutes) will often get you assigned a nother IP address.
You can also contact your ISP and see about a diffrent IP address and/or if they can do anything about a DDOS.
He stopped your modem from accessing the internet. It can take a bit for things to clear up after that.
He didn't boot you from Steam. That was jsut a side effect of the modem not being able to keep up with the packets being sent ( A DDOS sends large numbers of packets at your system, causing connection issues).
