Good games for making friends?
Just kind of looking for game recommendations to make friends in. I usually like playing healers in games that have it. Some that I've played:

Marvel Rivals - that it has healers is nice but matches are silent even if I try speaking
FF14 - Raiding was decent but I burnt out and haven't had luck outside of that, of course matchmaking content doesn't really result in friends
SoT - I just get destroyed in open, private servers are OK but queues that can be hours long are a pain
Abiotic Factor - I like the basebuilding side but my friends moved on and public servers are bleak
DRG - OKish but I burn out of this one fast
VRChat - pretty fun exploring worlds but I think I'm not extraverted enough to do well here.
Factorio/Satisfactory - I like these if I can focus on smaller things so I don't get overwhelmed but... another one my existing friends stopped playing and hard to publicly find people

So I would hope to find a game that sort of leads into making friends, instead of having to find people beforehand or externally since I'm bad at this. I'm also not a skilled gamer, so it needs to be pretty approachable (e.g., anything that can be described as a "competitive shooter" is out for sure).

Based on all this, would anyone perhaps have any suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

I will warn you, be careful who you talk to, there's a lot of weirdos out there.

When I've seen people streaming that game, it's seemed like they always do so with premade groups. Does it have a lot of public activity/matches..?

There's always people playing and most of the time people are talking and communicating.

People stream in groups because you will get people who come in and say racial slurs and the like to get a rise so it's smarter to know who you're playing with, but there's always people playing.

You'll run into a lot of uwu stuff if that's your thing.
Not so much looking for "uwu" stuff. Well, maybe I'll give it a try - thank you for the recommendation.

That's just what people do to get attention, you don't have to partake or friend those people. It's just a be prepared kind of statement.
Well. Did you try WoW? I hadn't played it in years, but it was quite good and had a friendly community back then. At least on a server I played on. Though it can be pretty expensive.

Other than that…

This game still must have active players with whom you can play. Very friendly from my experience.

I think it's a good place to find some good friends also.

Now I've heard many good things about this game. Even brought it myself because of it! So maybe you'll be interested as well?

And FINALLY this one! Haven't played it yet. It revolves around social interactions too. Though not usual ones. But I think it can be a pretty fun experience nevertheless if you're interested! :diplomacy::peacedove:
Counter strike but I’m warning you not too

U can try counter strike 2. IT IS FUN MAKING SOME TOXIC FREINDS LOL
Usually any multiplayer games. but seeing as you looking at making friends, then i'll suggest any type of co op multiplayer game. Made couple friends on The forest when it was still in beta stages. made odd friend or two on rust but of course they just wanted me to "buy" them a game, after them looking at my profile, then i just unfriended them and blocked them

Social Deduction games like Among Us, or LOCKDOWN Protocol are usually pretty good for making some friends 🤘

I’ve made my friends from competitive shooters, I just used a frog soundboard and before I knew it I’ve infiltrated a friend group as “the frog”. Been friends with them ever since.

Older game, but many people still play with others online. I even played it last year with 3 people.
