I do it mainly for the booster pack eligibility boost. It's not much per level but it's something.

In my opinion there is a time and a place for therm. Not going to go nutty using them just to use them.

I bought some, due to some points from some unexpected awards, which was awesome, many thanks, I don't even know what was so great that I said.

But the one that annoys me the most has to be

Because it's free I think, and people spammed that in a game board in sort of a taunting manner. At first I didn't think anything of it. As more and more did it I looked into their profiles and they were found to be cheating and also knew each other and had alts to use in case they were perma banned.

So that is likely the main reason why I don't use them. Also the 2 hour requirement for playing a game that you own that has these emoticons to unlock. I just don't care.

What...like should I base a purchase of a game just to get the emoticons? Well, the binding of Issac is a game I don't have, and it has rare emoticons

Then there's the whole other part about why people don't use emoticons.

I notice a lot of suggestible....games, have emoticons you can get. Now, I haven't played any of these games so I don't know how they play out whether it's just the art style or if it's actually prawn.

So if you type out that emoticons code, it's like an identifier to who has been naughty enough to play these games for more than two hours

some people might think it's a big flex to own the games and type out the codes and have it just be text? Idk. There are so many people we can't really tell who uses emoticons

I only used them as decor on my profile to illustrate a point. I think in my post history there's maybe 3 posts with an emote. Possibly 4. I just would rather put text here

Valve should get rid of the stickers because, come on, no one is using them like they do Emoticons (well, people barely use them) and for not being able to use them in the forums....

Emoticons are super small and you basically have to mouse hover over it to really see a good, clear image of what the Emoticon actually is, if it isn't super obvious. I think if they made them just a bit bigger, medium sized image, it would be better.

Should be small for the mobile version of Steam. Emoticons are seriously super small on PC and they shouldn't be like that.

I thought that was a puking face until I hovered over it with my mouse and could see the actual face (laughing face) lol give me the size where we could actually see the face, like when you mouse hover over it.

I guess they just really wanted to kill every animated thing from being able to be posted? (no animated stickers in the forums/posts and you can't upload your own gif as an avatar but can have a ton of gifs/etc being shown off in your showcases...)
