recently, the friend of a friend of mine sent me a message saying "this is for you", and then a link to a page that seems to be Steam to claim a 10$ giftcard, I have reasons to believe is malicious because when I open Steam from a browser, my account in linked, but this time it was't, it said I had to log in to claim it, if anyone has received a similar message, please tell me what that was about so I can report the account that sent it to me

Yes, that's a common phishing link. The person who messaged you likely fell for it himself, and if you had logged in, your account would be used to send the same message to your friends.

Any and I mean any site that's offering you money for free is already a major red flag. If it's for free then it's because they want something from you, A.K.A your account.
