No. I miss complete games and DRM free ones. DRM is garbage and does nothing to help the consumer except obstruct them and prevent them from playing the game as they see fit.

I honestly barely have any games on Steam because I hate DRM. You don't own it and I won't be at the mercy of anyone for something I paid for. Not Steam, not anyone.
cash converters has console games for like 2-6 dollars each in australia lol
its the best time ever to buy "physical games"

There's actually a locally owned store I love to browse every now and again that sells used physical games and consoles too. Even controllers. They tend to have really nice sales, think I might go pay em a visit soon.

Absolutely! Especially the period when PC games came on the big floppy disks! I miss the sound of the floppy loading and the DOS sounds etc. We are so spoiled these days!

I've always loved the loading noises of floppies. As well as ZX Spectrum or BBC tape loading noises. Really nostalgic.

TO me, all I have to do is hear them and I'm transported back to a warm room sat in the dark with a cup of tea late at night, with the single glow of the TV while waiting for things to load.

It’s all fun and games until the digital market decides to be corrupt and screw us over.

But yes. I have a handful of physical games. I even have the Orange Box.
Same. I also have a handful of PS and Xbox games with me. As for Nintendo games, they're pretty hard to get, namely the GameCube and N64 games due to the absurdly high prices unless Nintendo brings them digitally for Switch, and possibly Switch 2 if it's ever released.

I don't miss it as it's less things to carry when travelling and discs/cartridges used to get damaged and unusable.

I remember carrying a case with my handheld Nintendo.

You already mentioned that in your previous post:

No, I dislike the clutter and speed of game delivery or purchasing of physical games.

It really isn't hard to organize stuff like myself and others did. It's a matter of not being lazy is all.

When you have a family, kids, etc it can be quite hard to organize stuff as you often don't have the space for it and 30 years of gaming can take up quite a big chunk of space. Same thing with physical books compared to digital. I've downsized over the years as the space I was using for my game storage is now for my kids to use.

Here in Britain it can be a tiny bit different but it's generally the same.

As someone who's been grabbing games since the dawn of gaming, Nintendo have always been exclusively difficult at getting games cheaply. Part of the reason is they are FAR more diligent in turning out copies of games. They tend to UNDER-produce rather than people likle EA do who will turn out tons that turn up in supermakrets cheap.

So you either get it closer to release when you can or pay a premium. The other problem is Nintendo games tend to be higher quality, so people buy them and KEEP them more. Which also pushes up used prices.

So I always made sure to educate myself of EVERYONE as it releases and watch prices until you start getting difficult to track down copies. That's the latest you should buy.

Otherwise, you then wait some time and as the console no long er is current, the prices start climbing.

Gamecube and N64 for us were always the toughest for this issue.

No, that's a YOU problem.

It's dead easy to keep them safe and carry them around. I have a simple case for my Switch and in that case, there's still plenty of room. I easily store about 20 carts, and have 5 microSD cards. All safe and not rattling around.

The problem is you seem to be making excuses to support the fact you just like digital. Just go with that.

Don't make excuses for stuff.

The fact is it's dead easy to store stuff easily.

Again I live in a small 2 bedroom British house. And yet I have thousands of games stored and over 70 platforms.

if I can do it and keep them like new, anyone can.

I got a new job posting coming up and what i will be doing with some of the extra cash is buying the big boxes of the 90s games i had and having a small collection above my PC

Delightful. I do miss going through the old games sections in Game and Gamestop, as much as i appreciate steam etc with the in game updates etc, its nice to have a physical collection.
Both have benefits.

I have bookcases full of games in my library.
I would buy six copies of multiplayer games for running gaming LAN at home.

Nice that you own them and can't be taken from you. Play without being online etc.

Biggest detractor was all sales being final. Break the wrapper and you can't return it.
I get that it was to prevent piracy, but I ended up with multiple copies of some titles my hardware
setup had issues with.

A lot of older games now are going for crazy prices on Ebay.
