The question I want to ask you is this: what type of game would you say is your favorite, or most fun? Rpg? Fps? Platformer; fantasy, souls-like, rogue-like, horror, adventure, sports, party, card game, etc.?

What would be the best type of game to happily spend hours in for you?

IF you look at my most played games, you can see there bethesda games, otherwise they are final fantasy games. Take your pick. Alot of time is required to play either one.

You could also try the Yakuza games. They take a long time to beat too.

Stellaris, but get your pocket book out, it has 3 or 4 DLC every year, and change the game every few months.

That is why it is on my backlog. Im waiting until paradox calms down with the dlc's, like they kinda did with cities skylines. I want to play it and get it, but if they keep changing the rules of the game, it is like playing a game with a little kid who changes the rules every 5 minutes in a game.

I'd say probably fps, rpg or fantasy. I also have been thinking about gettin WoW but idk if its worth it.
