Does steam level really matter or not?
I mean, some people have Level 150 or above but what is the difference between that and being like Level 8? From what I observed they can tinker more with their profile while "low" level users have limited options but "high" level users apparently get more privileges on setting their profile.

It's so you will use the real fake money that you created in the Steam MArket like it is Enron, and then taking that real fake money you use it to buy real fake pixels, or real games.

If you are crazy, you spend all your real money on here to flex on the CHUDs, or something. Like a Prince of Saudi Arabia, or something with unlimited money.

How do you increase your Steam level?

Leveling your badge, get EXP for profile to level up.

A) Buy set of trading cards to craft badge max level per game badge is 5, and foil game badge is 1.

B) Using Steam points to level seasonal badge max is 40, 1000 points per level, seasonal badge changes 2 or 3 times a year.

C) Taking part in Steam event badges, sales badge has unlimited level, and game event, or community event level can be 1 - 5 levels.

D) Community badge free to do whenever, limited to level 1 - 3, but Exp changes for some of them such as years of service, or community reward given, or received awards by community.
Steam Level's really mean nothing to me. It's years of service that I respect.

Steam levels are to drive sales. So it matters to Valve. If you believe that your Steam level is something to flex about, Valve's marketing department tricked you into caring about meaningless nonsense.

Steam level matters a lot. People always attack me for being a "filthy level 0" for some reason.

It hurts my soul and ruins my headspace.

Yea people fail to understand it's just a byproduct of a private profile

You can get level 5 for free right away if your account is unlimited, just complete the community badge that all there is to it, and boom level 5.

Anyways reason why some people don't trust level 0 accounts refer to free only that never bought anything on it, or newly made accounts, as this is often related to trolls alt accounts, or scammers. Trolls do sometimes make alt accounts where they level them. About people attacking, this often when involved in heated / flame discussions.

FYI if make account private, or friends only, it will display your level as 0 to the public, so can be whatever level, but it be 0 to the public as long account is private, or friends only.

So are achievements when locked behind DLCs, microtransactions in games like limited edition skins, other editions for games doing for mediocre things likely not make use of, or use at all for said bonus content, and etc...

You spend more to gloat, you are the byproduct. Even hobbies make people the byproducts when buying things in their hobbies from building toy figures, buy video games, or movies to build collection, that just how industry pull you in.

If you paid ANY attention you'd seen his profile is set to private so the level turns up as a level zero. This has NOTHING to do with spent money

If you paid ANY attention reading the post, you realize i stated that already, and it's not about money, it's the fact to making account unlimited.

If you have a high profile level and engage in a symmetrical forum brawl against a low profile user and you both report each other, there’s good chance the mods will ban your opponent and not ban you. By pure coincidence of course.

I think most of their system is automated. I got reported and my name and picture was removed. Support immediately reversed the mistake.

Honestly, not really. Most people actually look on your profile page for VAC BANS. This is what really matters to others as most people with these will deny friend invites to people with vac ban on their accounts.
