GTA V Ad

Why is gta v ad taking up the whole top of the library for? I have seen no other game that did this. Other then dismissing this is there a way to hide that update shelf for good.

Because Rockstar released an updated version of the game after all of these years.
This is better than personally going through the entire game list every single day looking if a game has gotten an massive update.

GTA5 is also quite loved so people might just re install it again to play it to see the difference.

If you don't like it, just press the no button and move on. It only showed up once after all.

I know why they did it for but does it have to be the full length of the page. Why can't they do the little boxes like every other game does. It's a freaking eye sore and no one wants an enhanced online mode anyways.

Wrong it showed up before begging me to preload their stupid game that only has updates for their stupid online crap. Who wants to play with a bunch of cheaters and if someone cheats and gives you money they keep their account and yours is banned cause you took the money whether you wanted to or not.

Didn't do this for resident evil 8 and i preordered it months in advance and it had a preload. So finally something you are not correct on.

I had it for BO6 and FFXVI.

Resident Evil 8 was released 2 years before Valve added the pre-load banner in 2023 just in time for Street Fighter 6 and right after the Desktop Update that released in the beta.

Have a fun time reading when the SF6 community found out about it...

Technically it is an ad cause it's advertising that you can download it. So yes it is a ad.

I've oddly had to Dismiss it 3 times before release. They are exploiting the announcement system in some way to do it, or a bug.

So games I'll never play or look at since the original street fighters will always be better.

Any pre-order purchase that offers a pre-load will give you this banner now as of 2023.

I don't disagree with you about Street Fighter though.
