Invalid tickets are usually when your external IP changes and you rejoin. The system saw you under IP A, and your reconnect under IP B, whihc causes the token rejection

Again if you disconnect then its likely your external IP changed which causes the token error

I can see how that can be a problem, but can you help me understand two things?

1) why did this problem start happening out of nowhere? Steam mess up during an update or something? And why doesn't this happen to everyone and just select few?

2) So how do you fix this problem so that Steam does not reconnect to different IP addresses?

But I was kicked during the game mate, how can an IP could be changed on the run? Neither I disconnected and rejoined nor I did tweaking any setting in my 'Network and Sharing center'. In fact I was in the game and shooting newbies!

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
