yah i would not get anythig ubishaft is selling , that uplay 3rd party software wont let u play any games u buy, i've got 3 games that i have not played because of it, long story short don't buy anything there selling, its a wast of time and money.

Might pick up a couple of the Brothers in arms titles if they go 75% off.

I really do like the look of some of those games and would love to buy a few but uplay is offputting.

I've got a dozen or so Ubisoft games on my Steam account, maybe more, most of them work fine with the UPlay client, and the rest don't even use it.

Might pick up a few of the Tom Clancy titles to complete my collection.

Isnt that how publisher sale always work? The 75% off deals change.

On the face of it, I don't think the sale is up to much - certainly not to the levels the same games can turn up here on Steam at the main sale times.

Also, I personally have no interest in it for two reasons - I don't generally like most Ubisoft games. They haven't done anything really that appealed to me in ages. Even if they did, I'd probably still be reticent as I greatly dislike the mess and confusion that still goes on regarding their half-arsed attempts at DRM.

In short, even if the discounts were great and they had something really worth buying, I'd still be hesitant as I have no wish to spend my gaming time fussing around with badly-implemented practices.

Just my few penn'orth.

You know, there are plenty of games that don't use Uplay. Particularly the ones that predate it.

I've noticed that the Heroes Pack is 12.99 but if you buy each game individually it is only 9.96, I wonder if the Heroes Pack is set wrong.

The extra Uplay nonsense ruined Anno 2070 for me. And the ending for Assassins Creed 2 just seemed like they were trying to troll people. I get pretty wary when I see a Ubisoft product come onto my radar. When I finally get in the mood to play Far Cry 3 (got it and Anno during the December sales) I expect to take another shot at tolerating them but... I'm not eager to go through it again.

I'm not saying you shouldn't buy anything from Ubisoft. I'm just saying if you buy something, I'd bet on them doing their best to ruin it for you because they don't respect their customers.

If someone gave me the option right now of rebuying Farcry 3 or Anno 2070 for the full price and I knew I wouldn't have to deal with Uplay I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, they don't sell that product.

You must not know what your doing. All my Ubisoft stuff works. My Uplay links to my steam and works perfect. For all m AC games, Half the Splinter Cells I bought off steam.

As for enjoying the Sale. Hell yeah.
