Oldies but goodies.
I just got Psyconauts and it is a very creative game, really cool! I always heard about it but never got to play it, now that I have steam I was looking through the library and there a bunch of old games for good prices, gonna get MDK2 as well.

What are some old games but still great till this day?

Lemmings.

When I have children Lemmings is going to be the first game he/she plays.

...The person who owns the rights to Lemmings needs to add it to Steam.

I do agree but i think its low on chance of it happening now...

The publisher of the game was Psygnosis and its now Sony :(

The Dev of the game is DMA Design Ltd today known as Rockstar North or RockStar games... any how don't seem like any of them saying that they made the game so it seem there forgetting it but who knowns

I still like No One Lives Forever, Planescape: Torment, Age of Mythology, and Re-volt for older games.

I would easily drop $20 on a Lemmings update. HD graphics perhaps. Would be great. Not even a new game; just updated graphics.

Elder scrolls morrowind is an amazing older game if you like opened world sandbox type games, if not there is always Ducktales remastered

The oldest game -- to my knowledge -- on Steam that I'm "currently" playng is probably Enclave. Used to dig it up every few years (usually after another Drakan playthrough); Topware recently put it on Steam, and I just bought the first bundle where it was included.

Some website gave away free keys for registrations, maybe they still have some. Check the Enclave forum, it was mentioned there.

Granted, it's a 2003 game, but I was looking for the oldest game that I actually play and that's available on Steam :-) And, of course, I didn't want to include remakes -- just because "Tomb Raider Anniversary" takes a lot of inspiration from "Tomb Raider" doesn't make it a 1996 game :-)
