You need to be the one remembering which email it is.

If you deleted all your email, they're long gone. You don't get to have a 2nd chance to save that information.

Look in your transaction history, to see when the first game was put on the account. Work from there.

If anyone was able to just ask "what was that email again" scammers would have all of our accounts.

What does your friend has to do with an email address associated with your account?
You don't need to prove anyone anything. Support will have a history of the addresses associated to every account. As a matter of fact, anyone else knowing it is a security risk as this information can be used to recover an account.

If your 'friend' either has access to YOUR email, or YOU are using an account that they started with THEIR email, ... either of those things are expressly against the terms of service anyway.

IS it YOUR original email and ONLY your account?

Or did you get it from this 'friend'?

Or did they USE your email for their own? I mean none of this adds up, so yeah fraud is fraud either way I can see this turning out...

Some people have just one email,
for some people its also the login name.
Steam did put the first part of an email as displayname.

Knowing the email is a bad requirement for successful recovery of an account.
Also its still not documented in the faq.

while that's true (I haven't looked in detail because I still have my information printed out and found it recently while moving stuff...) ... it weeds out those who actively are NOT the owner of an account since they would usually have problems knowing that information at all. Particularly if the email's changed over time.

Execute a password reset with your email if it hasn't changed. Your security is a Steam priority. When your identity is known and verified you can restore your account. Don't skimp on AV software if you must have protection. I had an ex gf that was warez and she could hack well but performed another career. She's white hat so only goes in to look for fun breaching privacy laws.
