Did they change the definition of the word insult?

I just got a 4 day forum ban in PSO NG for telling someone I like the game. Someone who was insulting people who like PSO NG and pushing their opinion that PSO NG isn't a fun game and no one actually likes it based on their opinion that they seem to think is fact when it not it just their opinion.

So when did telling someone you like a game they hate become offensive and consider insulting someone? And when is it not an insult to call people simps for liking something you hate? Cause the person who actually insulting people for liking PSO NG is still in this same thread literally spamming insults at people who are saying they like the game.

Like wtf going on here steam? Has the definition of the word insult changed? Did you just have a brain fart and ban the wrong person? Or are you pro toxicity now?

OK I won't deny it was a trolly response to an obvious troll, but why was it flagged as insulting than? And why was my posted deleted and only I was banned, but the person I quoted has not only not had their message deleted but they didn't even get a ban, and there still in that same thread literally calling people idiots for liking PSO NG. I don't understand steam's reasoning here.

Pretty easy to see why that would get you punished in an unrelated games board. Game hub moderation is up to the developers to control, not Steam.

Yet that message is completely unrelated to the message that steam issued the ban for. So you know your point is to look at my history find a year old message to justify steams BS reasons using a year old steam message that completely unrelated to the message they issued the false ban for? Also Steam can also issue forum bans not just game devs, and I highly doubt SEGA even looks at the steam forums when they had their own forums. Especially when their steam forum is just full of people pointlessly ♥♥♥♥ posting their game and insulting people for playing their game.

Yes I read it before you edited it. Blame Steam all you want, its still the developers choice to moderate their hub in the manner they see fit.

That is why. One's history plays a part in how a ban/warning is handled.

Also, the user you had quoted has not posted back in that thread since that comment.

Unless the developer opted out, then Global Moderators moderate Globally. Valve/Steam has paid moderators to deal with all the areas of Steam, though it is to supplement existing moderation, not replace it.

So, yes, Valve/Steam does moderator most game hub, in addition to the game's developers and their appointed moderators.
