He wants to have a little bit of text superimposed on to his screen somewhere that just shows his current GPU usage/temp and CPU usage/temp, instead of having to alt tab to things like Task Manager and Resource Monitor.
@OP If you're using an Nvidia GPU with Geforce Experience updated to the most recent version, then press Alt+R at any point to bring up a small overlay that displays FPS, Highest FPS, Render Latency, CPU Utilization and GPU utilization
As for not having to tab out, both resource manager and resource monitor can log in their reports.
Core Temp is definitely useful for extensive information, same with things like HWmonitor. For just a lightweight small overlay though there's absolutely heaps of apps/programs, 100's, you can even just use a widget to do it.
As said though, if you have an Nvidia GPU, then the software for that comes inbuilt with an overlay containing that information, that can be accessed at any time with ALT+R.
Having resource monitor generate reports doesn't really help with wanting to have that information readily available in real time.
when you start Afterburner it also loads RivaTuner where you can overclock your GPU or just output temps/usage in top corner of your screen.
if on Linux you can use mangohud or "DXVK_HUD=1 %command%" in steam launch param.
That's what I do. I have a game now that is really pushing my GPU so I have AIDA64 on a vertical monitor on the left side, while I play. I also use it to watch movies while I game.
