And at times, i just love the game, so buy it again to support the Dev (I think i own portal 2 like 3-4 times all ready...)
There are various ways of acquiring from the internet, for free, games that are sold commercially. Many of these ways are illegal, but they are also frequently used. It is against forum rules to discuss piracy so I will not supply more details.
For what it's worth, one of Steam's claims to fame is that it reduced digital piracy of games by offering a convenient and trustworthy download service for cheap. A famous anecdote is told about how videogame publishers hated the Russian videogame market due to rampant piracy and then Steam came in and offered a good service and took the market by storm.
but still i am positive. there is not a single user here, that has never ever used a pirated program()
basically everyone can pirate anything,
it is just a matter of principle, or to be a better person respecting other people's ownership.
here in Steam, people respects those rights
