Steam Games like Zelda?
Any recommendations? I'm thinking of the 3D ones, but 2D is fine too I guess.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned this series.
Its on the curator page, so I haven't mentioned it.
Otherwise I would post the legendary:

Okami and Elden Ring. I don't like sounding uppity but the other 3D recommendations here are nonsense. I'm sure there are smaller games on Steam that try capturing Zelda's feel, but those two are the big ones if want the experience of exploring a fully realized fantasy world littered with dungeons and weird characters (Okami more than Elden Ring, as it's an action/adventure like Zelda and not an RPG).

EDIT: Taking another look, Oceanhorn 2 and Kena look like they might fit the bill, so not absolutely all of them are nonsense.

Get Tunic, you won't regret it!
Minecraft is also similar to A Link to the Past, because the Golden Land is similar to the Nether, in the sense that the locations in both worlds are relative to each other. Except in Minecraft it uses differently sized dimensions. In Zelda the expanse of both worlds are scaled 1 to 1, but in Minecraft they are scaled 1 to 8.

Tears of the Kingdom / Breath of the wild basically mixed alot of Ark Survival Evolved's features into Zelda, aside from making it 3D.
This is why Craftopia is compared to Zelda. (fully explorable map, gliding using something you made, exploring dungeons, opening chests, defeating bosses in a dungeon to obtain something that helps you progress and advance in your capabilities)

I can explain the other ones, but its dumb. It depends on how you experience it.

For example, Zelda puts a lot of Horror themes into its "adventures", at least traditionally. Wind Waker isn't very scary though, nor are the sequels based on it.

If you want to look for an adventure with dungeons that have horror elements and themes of loneliness, then Crafttopia isn't a match. On the other hand, Turok could be. But here, the game is First Person shooter. Though the other elements match.

The whole thing that sets Zelda apart from the other 'Top Down Action RPGs' is the horror / scare elements and themes.
Secret of Mana and A Link to the Past are often compared due to them being on the same base engine and also having the same base combat system. (Secret Of Mana's combat is more complicated though)
the thing is, Zelda has graves you fall into, woods you get lost in, spirits, skeletons, spider webs, giant monsters that are designed to scare you, etc.
(yes, living statues are also trying to be scary)

In a way kingdom hearts can be compared, except that it doesn't lock areas behind new weapons, skills or unlockables .... nor does it have major backtracking that rewards in it. It's also not scary, so I don't count that.

To put it simply, I can see why you'd compare minecraft to Zelda. But Minecraft doesn't have dungeons with a boss waiting you need to complete or a skill waiting you need to get or some weapon you need to progress the game.
The fact is, you only need blaze powder (drops from normal mobs) and ender pearls (also drops from normal mobs). That's it.... 2 item types and you can explore the entire world and all other dimensions and beat the game

In Zelda-likes you need several weapons or skills. (at least 8, but usually more)
There is also stuff in Hidden Rooms (caves you can blow into with bombs you cannot otherwise get).
And there are different sets of dungeons you have to complete as well.
In minecraft you can ... dig your own way to the goal.

So I don't count it.

Depends on what you're looking for. Obviously the mood is very different, but the first Darksiders is otherwise very much "inspired" by 3D Zelda. DS2 introduced random loot into the mix, and I guess DS3 added some Souls influence, haven't played that one.

You are mistaking the first one and the second one. DS1 was more like traditional God of War. DS2 was more like Zelda. DS3 was a poor attempt at a soulslike. The one with the gunslinger was some isometric thing, IIRC.
Did you know that you can actually type the title of a game in the game search bar, and it will generate titles similar to that? (Usually they are clones, but what gives?)

If I for example type Starfox, it will generate games similar to Starfox.
Someone at Valve must be doing that, because when I type Starwing, which was the title of that game in the rest of the world, it won't generate anything similar.
