Though every sale gets called a disappointment.
Are you perhaps expecting higher discounts on newer titles or something? If so, that might be unrealistic.
And I'm sure at a certain point you don't need to be an MBA to see that training your customer base to only buy games during sales when they're 75% plus discounted may not be the best long term practice. Developers end up making less money. Valve ends up making less money. And it might be wise to not forget these are all for profit businesses. And giving away products at a pittance when people will pay more for them in reality is clearly going to cause the pendulum to shift away from wild frenzied sales with excessive discounts.
I mean I remember the first few sales back in the mid 2000's when I was blown away, I had never seen the like in video games, so I get it. But I can't pretend that being wow'ed every sale or that those early day status quos were going to persist forever or that things would never change.
So yeah, comparing current sales to the wild west sales of the past is going to feel disappointing. And those days ain't coming back... either pine for the days bygone, or live in the present.
I was mostly looking for RPGS made last year and this year. Most of them were not on sale. For example, Visions of Mana was only at 30% discount. Saga frontier remastered only at 40% off. That was what i was mostly looking for.
BTW, RPG is in my name..so that may hint you at what i like..lol.
im not even gonna mention those new ones from Atlus..they were at like 20% both i think.
Try some legit resellers. Got it for around 38 EUR.
Personally I like having choice.
I do want to play these, but my short attention span and limited stamina continuously work against me. Frankly if I manage to crawl out of bed before 1 PM, it's already quite an achievement. I hate leaving bed.
In other words, like every sale.
I have actually bought a game, and generally didn't notice anything unusual about this one.
