Overpriced item?
Can you get a trade ban or something like that when you overprice an 0.5$ Item to 90$ ??

Why? You can put it for 1000 if you want. The problem is to be sold for that price. Also if you sell it for 90$, Steam will get much more money from the taxes. And I am sure they wont have problems with that :D

No, you can not be banned for that.

As the market is the only place you can sell items, I don't see how you would get a trade ban, as it was not a trade to begin with.

If you try to scam someone by putting the item up higher to fake the value of what you are trying to trade, then that could lead to a ban, but that involves the trade system.

You could never "sell" something for $90 anyway (you could certainly list it) with a wealth of $0.05+ items in front of it. Unless you bought them out, which would make no sense.

People will use the market in unintended and unsupported ways. Sometime one will transfer funds to another account through the market, by placing a cheap item up for sale at a high price. Then the other account buys it and the first account gets the money. They take a 15% loss when doing so, but some still do it.

Other will do as I said before and put an item up for a high price, then scam people into either buying it or making them think the item they are offering is worth more then it is.

This thread is 3 years old... Back then it wasn't so much of a problem, but they started cracking down. Now a days, do not sell things on the market for more than they should be sold for. Otherwise your account will get locked.

Read the message; it probably has instructions for contacting support. Support would make the decision on whether or not to unlock and account.
