DBD developers seem to have a policy of not removing bans that their moderators issue.
There is no circle. Valve directed you to the developer, the developer has said they will not remove the ban.
Do I think it if fair? No... at least not for a first offense, but the developer is in charge of their discussions. There is also a reason I never go to their discussions, and not just because I don't enjoy those kinds of games.

If the images you talked about were posted on their community hub of screenshots/artwork then that would be why.
Try responding to the ban message you should had gotten and deal with it there as no one here can do anything about it.
Because that is how they choose to moderate. What you contribute doesn't matter. Never think your are owed something as those who you think may owe you, likely don't see it the same way.
My only advice is it learn from it and move on with life. It really isn't worth it.
And you get nothing by being offended. Move on and live. Don't stagnate and suffer for no reason. Nothing to be gained by doing so.
If you don't want to support them over it, then move on to another game that you feel has a more fair community.
I said community, not game. A game is not it's community. You purchased it, so keep playing it. Just find a better community to be a part of.

They have no qualms about skipping steps either.
