It's not a competion, it's about sharing your views.
And if you ask me.. getting acknowledged at all should be someting to be appreciative off, yet here we are...
We all have a means to share our views, but that doesn't impy others have to go read that crap.
every like a new unique photo of eating ketchup
The OP isn't writing that in their own reviews. They are complaining about people that are writing that in their reviews.
So things like this are to be expected.
That isn't quite true.
It is usually the people that others don't agree with that are regarded as children. I personally prefer to see it as misled, misinformed, or just plain ignorant.
Besides, I'd be willing to bet you think you're the only adult here which would likely make you the candidate for being called a child here. The arrogance alone of thinking everyone else is a child bears that out.
As for the topic itself ... One man's trash is another man's treasure. You aren't the only person who decides what is trash and what isn't. There's some more arrogance for you.
Side note: if you like ketchup then this really isn't a punishment.
To be honest, Hexi, subjective impressions (have read yours) aren't product "reviews" either as they do not reflect what is actually contained in the product or how it behaves. Moreover, "games" are just regular software and should be seen as such. The term "games" in this context only trivializes many things.
Unfortunately this can be applied on the majority of the so-called "product reviews" and writers on Steam. Valve is not entirely innocent of this. As are various developers.
I've personally given up on reporting them. Same goes for guides.
I've reported a guide "How to start game" that had nothing other than a Meme picture.
Not even showing you how to start the game, as useless as this would be already.
That was.. 2 or 3 years ago? It's still there.
And, of course, showered with awards to encourage more of these.
The crap content gets rewarded. The meaningful, well written guides and reviews don't. That's a fact. Hence why I very rarely write reviews and/or guides because again, I feel I waste my time.
