falling from great heights in games really makes you have a emotion

Mirrors Edge made it perfectly. You were falling, while hearing only wind and MC's quickened breath. It was really unsettling, and another reason to not fall.

dark souls really pushes the call of the void by putting loot in "out of bound areas" so you really feel insecure wondering if its worth or not. assassins creed and dying light and a few others where you need to parkour and go in high heights also makes me unsettled. its a amazing feeling tbh when you don't have fear from it but enjoy the feeling of it.

as someone afraid of heights, i feel like lots of games make me get a weird feeling, starting from the butt, going all the way up to the heart. doesn't happen all the time, sometimes its very random and at points i wouldn't even think it happens and sometimes i'm on top of a building and nothing happens. but i guess thats for games like sonic that don't feel real enough.

Its strange, i am super afraid of heights in real life, i already having problems going up a short ladder or looking down from a balcony.
But in games that fear does not trigger at all. I can climb to the highest scyscraper in games and look down or throw me off the top and i feel nothing. Even in VR games it does not happen.
Only in real life do heights bother me.

Also suffer from the fear of height and about any game is going to make me feel like I'm falling down in real life. Not that it actually bother me that much as I don't physically suffer from it in any way. But fear of height inherently being a mental problem, just seeing it happen trigger it just as well as the real thing.
